• MedAlert Warranty Policy

    1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the MedAlert watch. We are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality products and service. This warranty policy outlines the terms and conditions of our warranty coverage for the MedAlert watch.

    2. Standard Warranty Period

The MedAlert watch comes with a standard 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period.

    3. Extended Warranty Option

Customers have the option to extend the warranty for an additional 24 months, providing a total of 36 months of coverage. To purchase the extended warranty, customers must opt-in within the initial 12-month warranty period. The extended warranty offers the same coverage as the standard warranty.

    4. What is Covered

    The warranty covers the following:

    • Defects in Materials and Workmanship: Any defects that occur under normal usage conditions, including issues with the watch's hardware components.
    • Battery Performance: Significant degradation of battery performance, specifically if the battery life is less than 20 hours under recommended usage conditions. As the watch can be programmed with various features enabled, we cannot be held liable if clients are not programming or using the watch according to our recommended use.
    • Software Issues: Problems with the operating system or software that inhibit normal use of the watch, excluding issues caused by factors outside our control such as network failures or third-party products or services that prevent the MedAlert watch from working properly.

    Specific Coverage Details

    • Watch Body and Screen: Defects such as cracks or breaks due to manufacturing faults.
    • Straps and Bands: Issues with the straps that are due to manufacturing defects.
    • Internal Components: Malfunctions of the internal sensors, processors, or other electronic parts.

    5. What is Not Covered

    The warranty does not cover:

    • Accidental Damage: Damage caused by dropping the watch, impacts, or other accidental incidents.
    • Water Damage: Damage resulting from exposure to water beyond the watch’s specified water resistance capabilities.
    • Normal Wear and Tear: Cosmetic damage including scratches, dents, and wear on the watch band and case.
    • Unauthorised Repairs: Damage resulting from repairs or modifications carried out by unauthorised service providers.
    • Battery Life: Normal depletion of battery life over time and usage.

    Specific Exclusions

    • Physical Damage: Any damage to the watch body, screen, or straps that is caused by misuse or mishandling.
    • Environmental Damage: Damage caused by exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, or other environmental conditions not specified in the product guidelines.
    • Connectivity Issues: Problems with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or other connectivity features resulting from network issues or incompatibility with other devices.

    6. Warranty Claim Process

To make a warranty claim, follow these steps:

    1. Contact Customer Support: Reach out to MedAlert customer support via email or phone to report the issue.
    2. Provide Proof of Purchase: Submit a copy of the receipt or proof of purchase date.
    3. Describe the Issue: Provide a detailed description of the problem and any troubleshooting steps taken.
    4. Follow Return Instructions: If instructed, return the watch to MedAlert following the provided guidelines.

    7. Replacement or Repair

Upon receiving and inspecting the returned watch, MedAlert will determine whether the defect is covered under the warranty. If it is, MedAlert will, at its discretion, either repair the defective product or replace it with a new or refurbished watch. The repaired or replaced watch will be covered under the remaining term of the original warranty or for 90 days, whichever is longer.

    8. Limitations and Exclusions

This warranty is limited to the original purchaser and is not transferable. It does not cover any consequential or incidental damages arising from the use or inability to use the MedAlert watch. MedAlert’s total liability under this warranty is limited to the replacement value of the watch.

    9. Legal Rights

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary by state or territory. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
